Architecture has emerged to be a thriving branch of the construction industry. To become an architect, it requires some in-built skills and educational qualifications. An understanding of the structured and scientific ways of planning construction with novel ideas is one of the basic requirements. Any construction work should be perceived and preplanned with basic amenities like ventilation, heating, and air conditioning in a systematic way. Planning and perfect execution makes successful architect. Cultural values and ethnic traditions could be well reflected in architectural patterns.

Different kinds of software have been used after the introduction of automation in architectural designing. The oldest software is known as Computer Aided Design (CAD). But the problem with the software CAD was that it could give only a two dimensional view of the building structure in view. Precision with Auto CAD helps in drawing blueprints, which is a starting point for any construction work. There are modifications in latest CAD versions and 3D compatibility could be achieved. 3DMax is another major software which gives a three dimensional view enabling the architects and the viewers to make necessary modifications in the plan itself.

Architectural engineers, as part of a distinct and separate profession, are extremely talented and their role overlaps that of architects and other project engineers. Architectural engineering is different from civil engineering, because civil engineering course curriculum includes technical aspects, and not innovative concepts to be adopted to match interests of property owners.

Luxury home architects have to follow an extravagant plan with pragmatism. As architects are planning for a spatial area, plans are submitted to customer for approval and necessary changes are incorporated. Luxury home architects should be prepared to satisfy property owners’ every demand.

Architectural engineers are not allowed to practice architecture independently. While they should have passed courses in architecture, they are nonetheless confined to one or more engineering disciplines. This is the practice followed in many countries of the world.

Architects provides detailed information on Architects, Landscape Architects, Residential Architects, Famous Architects and more. Architects is affiliated with Architecture Schools.

A large number of solar cell and solar cell systems are described in this volume. The theory of their operation, their design and the levels of their performance is discussed. Originally the book appeared in 1978 but extensive change over the intervening years in the fields of energy generation and consumption, solar energy and solar cells, has necessitated the publication of an updated version. The text initially surveys the requirements of humanity, the subsequent need for solar cells, the nature of sunlight and the properties of semiconductors. Concrete examples, extensive references and theoretical arguments are then used to present a comparison of options available in the design and operation of solar cells and solar cell systems. The cells - constructed from single, crystal, polycrystalline and amorphous semiconductors - and the systems - have varying designs and differing levels of solar energy for input and produce electricity or electrical and thermal energies. Solar cell production, economics and environmental effects are considered throughout the publication.

Wind power experts stress, no matter how good your design and construction, Nature will limit capacity and efficiency of wind turbines for homes. The goal is to fashion and install a wind turbine big enough and high enough to run consistently at peak potential.

“Caveat Emptor” means “Extreme Scam Alert”–more scams than legitimate designs.

No single design fits every landscape, and some allegedly “new and improved” designs do not fit any landscape at all. Would-be wind turbine installers must exercise great caution, avoiding “fantasy wind machines” that look absolutely wonderful and sometimes do not turn at all. Installing wind turbines for homes, each family must plan and design “from scratch,” and they must comply with the fundamental, non-negotiable, absolute and inescapable rules of wind power.

Betz’s Law always applies. Some wind turbines almost make the grade.

First worked-out from start to finish by German physicist Albert Betz, a complicated series of calculations establishes wind power’s fundamental law: No wind turbine ever can harness more than 59% of the wind’s energy, because wind must pass through a wind turbine to sustain the rotors’ spin. In the history of the real world, no wind turbine ever has harnessed more than approximately 45% of the wind’s power.

Design and build wind turbines for homes to prevent “unless…”

Designing and building wind turbines for homes, engineers and builders improve turbines’ performance by following two more fundamental rules. In wind power, bigger is always better. The greater the rotor’s sweep area, the more electricity the turbine generates-unless the rotor becomes too heavy to trap light winds. Look for rotors made from new, state-of-the-art composites; sophisticated ceramic composites stand out as by far the lightest and most durable materials on the market. Second, in wind power, a taller tower is always better than a shorter one-unless the tower soars too high for the materials torsional rigidity, making the tower wobble in high winds, setting the rotor out of alignment and shutting down the whole system. Major advances in construction techniques make high-stress concrete by far the best choice for any wind turbine tower; the taller it stands, the better concrete will serve.

Even in today's world market, with all of the vast technological advancements and improvements, there are still people who live in darkness at night. These areas lack the infrastructure and resources for such an amenity. Also, throughout the world, the demand for useable energy is increasing rapidly, with electricity being the energy of choice. One way to meet this increasing demand for electricity is to steer away from conventional methods and move towards novel, alternative, renewable, energy resources, such as solar energy. With a move towards solar energy, solar thermal technology has become competitive in some very limited markets. Few solar thermal systems to date have been developed and produced for the use of power generation, however, due to complex designs and costs of production and maintenance, these solar thermal systems have fallen behind in the world of alternative energy systems. The concentrated solar thermal system discussed in this work is designed with simplicity in mind, and is designed with the idea of being used in off-grid and less tech-savvy areas; most importantly, as a proof of concept.

Designing with Solar Power is the reult of international collaborative research and development work carried out within the remit of the International Energy Agency's Photovoltaic Power Systems Programme (IEA PVPS), where world-wide and interdisciplinary expert experience on building-integrated photovoltaics has been brought together to provide state-of-the-art information on technology and design issues. This book's mission is to inspire building professionals to think about photovoltics as an energy-producing building material, and to incorporate this energy source whenever possible. Hundreds of photos, diagrams and charts demonstrate the fundamentals of photovoltaics, the hurdles to be faced, experience to date, and overall, its enormous potential. More than twenty international case studies demonstrate the learning curve that has accompanied the early years of building-integrated photovoltaics.

How to Strategically Evaluate Germany. Perhaps the most efficient way of evaluating Germany is to consider key dimensions which themselves are composites of multiple factors. Composite portfolio approaches have long been used by strategic planners. The biggest challenge in this approach is to choose the appropriate factors that are the most relevant to international planning. The two measures of greatest relevance to solar energy are “latent demand” and “market accessibility”. The figure below summarizes the key dimensions and recommendations of such an approach. Using these two composites, one can prioritize all countries of the world. Countries of high latent demand and high relative accessibility (e.g. easier entry for one firm compared to other firms) are given highest priority. The figure below shows two different scenarios. Accessibility is defined as a firm’s ease of entering or supplying from or to a market (the “supply side”), and latent demand is an indicator of the potential in serving from or to the market (the “demand side”). Framework for Prioritizing Countries. Demand/Market Potential Driven Firm. Relative Accessibility. Accessibility/Supply Averse Firm. In the top figure, the firm is driven by market potential, whereas the bottom figure represents a firm that is driven by costs or by an aversion to difficult markets. This report treats the reader as coming from a “generic firm” approaching the global market – neither a market-driven nor a cost-driven company. Planners must therefore augment this report with their own company-specific factors that might change the priorities (e.g. a Canadian firm may have higher accessibility in Canada than a German firm). Latent Demand and Accessibility in Germany. This report provides a detailed overview of factors driving latent demand and accessibility for solar energy in Germany. Latent demand is largely driven by economic fundamentals specific to solar
